I use a Remington R15 VTR mostly.

I have almost an identical set up, except I use a scout with skinny longs on the sides all in highlander for my predator hunting bag. My R15 is 18" with a 1-4 power scope. Even have the same foxpro I think.

Lately though I have put the R15 away and find myself taking my .223AI remington 700 with lone wolf stock and lilja barrel more often. Or my 870 shotgun.. got more coyotes this last winter with the 870 than the rifle... fun stuff!

300 blackout for me at the current time. I am waiting on my 6.5x6.8 bhw barrel and then that will be my main everything Texas gun. I used to be a single shot kind of guy, then a bolt guy, and now I am stuck on ARs. I tried to go back to bolt and it just didn't click with me anymore. My preferred combo is lightweight 16" barrel, 15" handguard, DPMS slick side receiver, and of course Magpul. Caliber selection is mostly wildcat based.

Several rifles I use for predator control, the most predators I've taken I have used my trusty savage .22 mag, which I still use when I'm back home at my parent's place. I now also have an AR-15 SPR variant, .223/5.56 w/ Larue SPR/M4 QD LT104 Bushnell Elite 4200 and my favorite varmint rifle Savage VLP .204 Ruger that doesn't have any glass atop of it currently. Recently incorporated a new rifle if I want to take longer shots at yotes, Tikka T3 7mm Rem Mag, w/ a Meopta 3.5-10x44, haven't shot any yotes with it yet, but best believe it will get a yote or two this year.

Scary how accurate my Rock River AR15 with 20" SS bull barrel is......it shoots better than I can shoot it.

Remington 700 in 22-250 with a Burris fullfield E1. Its stock and I simply dont have a reason to change it.

Remington 700 in .243 witha bushnell tactical. Swapped out the tupperware stock for a B&C. shoots great with factory 70gr Nosler Ballistic tips and drops coyotes like a bad habit. Want to develop a better load but my reloading stuff is packed away.

I use a rem 700 vssf in 220 swift a bunch loaded with 40 gr nosler bt over a compressed load of varget. But I find myself using my kimber .300 win mag and 180 gr barnes tsx loaded with h1000 the most. I just love that kimber especially for longer shots. I really like the 220 swift. Do t have one of my own. My two favorite. By myself I like my custom ar. And if I am with someone else I like shooting my rem 700 204 or savage model 10le in 223. All have killed a bunch of critters. Come to think I don't think I ever shot a coyote that got away. Knock on wood! I also shoot them pretty close though ;)

Rock River Varmint EOP with a 20" barrel is my favorite but I'll shoot at a coyote with any gun I have in my hands.

just picked up windham ar10 with 18" fluted barrel and vent-floating hand guard. replaced trigger with wilson single stage. just starting to develop some loads. have always found sierra mk's work in any 308 and am certain they would be enough to drop canine or feline varmints. anyone have any thoughts or ideas on loads??

I use a Remington R25 in .308 topped with a vortex viper 6-24x50. Planning on mounting an offset holographic for close up. My usual load is 150gr. Hornady SST pushed by varget as this is what my gun seems to like best.

I use a Savage predator in 22-250 w/ Nikon Coyote Special scope. Devastating!

Pic did not show on my mac, nothing new. sounds like my mod 12 lrp in 223 left side bolt right side ejection port. have not really shot this rifle yet. just bought it couple years ago from dealer who could not move it and dropped the price to where could not resist. have quit making trips to the dog towns but still like to plink in the back yard, will get it out someday as have tons of 223 to burn. have two savage varmint weight 223 and they shoot with the best off the rack rifles.

I primarily use a .223 - either a LaRue stealth model one of the guys built for me about 6 years ago or a stripped down and inexpensive frankengun I put together. The LaRue has a Nightforce NXS 3.5-15x56 and my frankengun has an older Eotech with a 3x magnifier. Here in S. Texas we don't do a whole lot of shooting past 200 yards and we DO get them in close. Lol! In fact, I kill about 40% of my coyotes with a shotgun (Win SX3 w/ Dead Coyote and Dead Dog choke) these days.

Really been toying with getting a 6.5 creedmoor. After seeing that Rbros rifle earlier, I may have to bite the bullet this winter! It's a lot more gun than I need for my predator work but it'd be a great all-around Texas hunting rifle; and my wife would probably love it.

When I'm expecting cats I use a stock Ruger .17 HMR with a bull barrel- an old Walmart package special. It'll make head shots on cats all day long at 150yds and I've never felt the need to spend money on something fancy when it does the job so well. I've beat that rifle and scope to death, bouncing around the ranch in my truck (secretly hoping it'd break so I could justify a new rifle, I suppose) but it just keeps driving tacks. Lol!

I envy y'all that have those wide open expanses where you can stretch your shooting abilities. Here it's more about your ability to get them in close because the brush is so thick and open ground is in short supply.

I'm running a .243 win in a Rem 700 shooting 58 gr. vmax. With that said, if I didn't rebarrrel my .220 swift with a bull barrel, I would be running it.
