So my son was lucky en dough to draw a California antelope tag. After scouting awhile and meeting with a few landowners I think we found the antelope he wants to shoot next week. should be a fun hunt. saw a ton of antelope, including about 35 in the 14-16 inch range and a couple over that. pretty sure this one will be in that "over 16" category. sorry about the grainy pic. its a picture of a picture anyway. I like our odds. the land owner was pretty thrilled to give my son the chance and he says he has seen this particular buck fairly often.

ok after looking at it on my computer screen and not just on my phone I am not sure about "better than 16" hmmm. close.

Going away is about the worst angle to judge. Also his ears are pinned back giving us a bad frame of reference.
To hit 16 your going to need about 3xs the ear length. Hard to tell from that picture for sure....but .15-16 seems reasonable.
