The wife filled her doe tag yesterday with a couple good helpers tagging along.

Tried to get the youngster a good antelope for his first goat, and we found a dandy for him. One well placed shot and the kid was all smiles.

Filled my two tags yesterday. Not a trophy but meat is what counts for me. Celebrated by eating heart, tenderloin and the nuts poached in butter.

First time ever chasing these animals. This was taken in Montana. He's not the biggest goat on the prairie, but it is still special to me. He handled great on the hike out attached to the Kifaru Nomad. I set an ambush and he walked to within 62 yards when I took the shot. He fell to my new 6.5 creedmoor.

Wyoming area 21 antelope. Shot at 482 yards with a 35mph wind blowing straight at me. Shooting a 7WSM with 180 Bergers at 2900fps. He was bedded down quartering towards me. I'm little disappointed in my Berger Hunting VLD as it entered right at the shoulder/neck area and exited on the right rear hind quarter. It definitely ruined his day though, as he never stood up.

I wish I had an exciting story for this guy about a long stalk and a trad bow shot.

But I the real story is pretty good too.
I 243'ed him while driving to the machines from just off the road while on clock even!

I had him tagged dressed and in the truck and still beat the foreman!

I hate road hunting but when opportunitey legally knocks you pop the safety off and you shoot that opportunity! Especially while you're at work!
