Shot this guy 9/19/17 spot and stalk on public land in SW Montana. Goats are rutting like crazy here now, which makes them very vulnerable. Seems the herd bucks really like to corral does in places where other pesky bucks can't see them, making for great spot and stalk opportunities. This buck had two does pinned in a creek bottom full of willows, which made for an easy stalk. He's a couple inches shy of P&Y because of the really weak prongs, but he was an old, mature buck. He had a big, bulky body and his bottom molars were worn down flat.
