I told my daughter that I would take her on a big game hunt when she got her Bachelors Degree.
So after 5 Pref Points here in Colorado, she drew her first big game tag.
We arrived at dawn and hiked 1/2 mi over a hill and waited.
There was a buck looking at us to the south about 500yds away, then just to the west 6 does came feeding into view 200yds away.
I told her that a buck will probably be following them
She got the bi-pod set up and here came the buck - Shooter!
She had to wait for him to clear a doe and I said "Take him..."
Boom!
A perfectly placed shot from her 243.
Down he went!
After the required photo session, she learned how to field dress and then she latched on and started dragging the buck to the truck
She is on top of the world!
