Wondering if someone can help me with how the public access in unit 51 is. WY website has the note that it can be difficult to access where gohunt says there is good general access. Just wondering who is more accurate for this unit. Thanks in advance.

Access is not much of an issue, roads gets you in. Did you pick based on PP? It has some very hilly areas , might want to look across the highway , east side for antelope. Based on season dates and knowing the area to the north, it is a wintering area. Later in the season they will group up in large herds, some years a Colorado migration happens, they move up from Colorado. You'll have a fair amount of deer hunters in that area too.
We saw a sharptail grouse down there too.
Can you draw an area to the north of 51?

Best to look at the NonRes regs for 51 - they are different this year from last year

Access to areas that actually hold antelope in 51 is going to be pretty tough. WGFD info is better than your other source. While you can access a fair amount of public land in the unit, you'll have to be lucky to find antelope hanging on accessible public land during rifle season.
