Question for the peanut gallery. Martin Cougar Magnum

A friend of mine has a Martin Cougar Magnum compound bow that is in need of new cables. A very capable and well known local archery store has told him his only option is a new bow. That strikes me as implausible. Any thoughts or solutions. The guy got it as a gift and wants to continue to shoot it.

It's an older bow, but it is doable. I used to shoot a Marin Pro Flight, I loved that bow.

Best bet would be to go on AT and post a wanted add in the classifieds. Probably someone over there that has a set they would sell.

Call up 60X bowstrings. I guarantee they can make a string for that bow. Go with 452X string material and Halo serving. Great combo and holds up for awhile. It's the only string I put on my bows. Use the code AT10 on there website and get 10% off your order. They will probably honor that on the phone as well.
