I am currently debating which arrow spine and wondering if someone can help. looking at Easton charts I can go with either a 260 or 300 spined axis. when I called Easton they said only the 260. I am shooting 70-72lbs, 29.5 draw, and will do arrows 28.5-29. ideally I would like to run a 100g broadhead with a 50g brass insert. I'm trying to avoid ending up with a 600g arrow. the shop was tuning my bow and eluded to some difficulty punching paper with 300 spine arrows making them question underspining. anybody have any recommendations on best approach? thanks

Not sure what shaft you’re thinking but the difference in weight for the axis is only .8 gpi from the 260 to the 300. With that slight difference I don’t know why someone would want to fight spine issues.

If you’re wanting to use brass inserts then go with the 260s. It’ll be a more forgiving arrow from that Bow with those specs.

Wow I'm running 28" dl and arrow with fmj 340s and a 60gr insert at 75lbs and punching bullets all day.

they were able to tune it with short 300 spine arrows, but I want to be able to run weight up front and not deal with spine problems if I make changes in the future

decided to have axis match grade 260's built-cut at 28.5, blazer's with no wrap, 50gr brass up front. planning on running a 100gr broadheads, does this set-up provide a decent FOC?

Should be around 506 for weight and 12.2% for FOC

Thanks for the response. That's about right where I wanted to be.

they also make a 260 6mm Hexx arrow lighter than the axis and as straight as the match grades has brass inserts now
