I am a relatively new archer and want to share it with my 5 year old. Got her a Bear Goblin because it's the lightest draw I could find.

Like all things teaching kids I know rule #1 is keep it fun.

What else? How did you teach your little one? Games or ideas to keep it fun?

What are some basics to teach regarding form or other rules to start out with good habits?

I would say get lessons. Super helpful for my kids ( and me).

For me personally with my 6 year old girl I don’t push it on her and give very limited feedback on form and what not at this point. I noticed with mine she loves doing it but loses patience fast if there is to much coaching. Sometimes she is good for 6 arrows other days you can’t pull her away but when she is done I make sure to be ok with it. Make balloons they can pop, 3D targets or we use old stuffed animals on top or in front of the target.
