Took my 7 youngest on a training run and invited a couple of friends who have rented from me for several years for a "free trip" as in I got to use their help for free! Lots of spring conditions on a five mile up/back overnighter. Trees across the trail and swollen creeks made for challenges for the young felllas. I tore a pannier on deadfall re-learning the lesson to always have a chain saw.
Saw a bunch of elk and an XL bullwinkle. Overall had a great time in some gorgeous country. River was remarkably clear and prime for brookie fishing tho i didnt have my pole. I got the sermon after setting up camp how everything in my life would just get so awesome if I would convert to the vegetarian lifestyle, followed by silence as the elk burgers were thrown onto the grill and started to sizzle!
