Yeah - I know I should buy a Kifaru, but it's just not happening this year. I've got a one year old little boy, mortgage, truck payments. etc - and I'm trying to scrape up enough to go on an Elk hunt this Fall.
Kuiu is currently running a sale on the Ultra 6000 for about $100. The Alps Commander Frame is about $80 on Amazon. Would it be possible to configure these together? I've read the poor reviews on the Alps bag, but haven't seen as much negative stuff about the frame itself - likewise, I've read that the Kuiu frames can be a little suspect, but most people seem generally happy with the bag. So, what do you think? Would something like this even be possible? If so, that seems like a halfway decent option for a pretty big pack under $200
