Decided to put the kifaru hunting frame to the test. Loaded 200lbs for 1 mile. So far so good. This is a 26" frame with aluminum stays. More testing to come.

I'm 6'-1". Pics were takin after the hike. With this weight I'm not sure you can keep a 45 degree lift. It kept about a 15 degree.

I hurt my back just looking. :) Ahh to be young and strong. Kifaru packs will for sure haul more than I could ever pick up.

That's cool to know but if I were you I wouldn't make it a habit to train with heavy or exteme weight often. You'll need those knees and hips to keep hunting when you're in your mid to late 40's and beyond. I sure wish I had not done a lot of things I could do but shouldn't do. Knees and hips wear out and the more extreme ways you use them the faster it happens. If I was still young and strong I would have to try it too so not judging but a friendly warning of what can happen years down the road.

How the heck did you stand up with that weight? What you using for weight? Sand bags?

I started from the bed of a truck not the ground. I have two 80lb quickcrete bags wrapped in duct tape. Then I threw a 40lb weight vest on top.

It's got 200 pounds In it.... It's a backpack not a gravity defying machine..

Lol. Exactly. I am 6'1" as well. I have been exercising with 80lbs which is a good load and have excellent lift. So it just shows with the incredible load he has on his back . Ouch!

Solid advise!
