I love my Exo and have 0 regrets buying it. Hauling capability is more than I can handle personally, bag layout is as well thought out as any I've seen. Pack fits me well and is perfect for my purposes.

Kifaru hip belt is the most comfortable I've tried but I personally didn't like the "piece together your system" method and the extra cost was a turn off.

Try both packs on if you can and see what fits you well. Buy either and I'm sure you'll be incredibly happy. CS for either company will be great.

Steve carried the head, horns, and two bone in quarters out, on the Land of the Free series on you tube. All with 4 days of camp in his bag. If I remember correctly, he did a video stating his 5 day pack was 37 pounds. Two bone in rear quarters equal about 100 pounds. Horns and head equals 20 lbs or so. Do the math. So, if you want great results out of a pack, pay up and get a great pack. So, yes they are worth it. God Bless

Yes indeed as others have noted you will find a night and day difference how your body feels especially the next day especially as you age and everything is exaggerated. I grew up with the old army pack frame and somehow my brother still uses it. Like you I have used the horn hunter for antler season. It is a good pack for the money but when you go up to the next level of packs it is an upgrade your body will appreciate, along with simply stated more refined and quality. I spend a lot time packing medium sized loads and come elk season hopefully a big load. Here is a collection of some the packs I have used both comfortable and not so much.👍 the exo and kifaru are worth the money👊Currently runnng exo for everything
