Hi. I recently purchased a 2017 EXO 3500. It's a very nice pack. I am however having issues installing my universal Kifaru GunBearer. I just can't seem to get a good install. I have the "long" version of the GunBearer and have wrapped the velcro around the waistbelt, but it doesn't seem to fit right. I also have a waistbelt pocket on that side, so not sure if that impacts things. Does anyone use a GunBearer on an EXO pack? If so, I'd appreciate any advice and/or pictures. Thanks in advance!

Thanks Ross. Did you put the GunBearer velcro around the entire height of the waist belt, or just the webbing strap part of the waist belt (i.e. the strap that holds on the waistbelt pouch and main buckle)? I can't tell which from your photo. Thanks.

I simply installed it on the strap. Worked great.

Sure looks like one's designed to go over the belt and the other the strap.

No idea which of the last two pics is the "Universal" one though.

BroodBuster's version is the "Kifaru" model, and Grady's version is the "Universal" model. I have the Universal model. I initially wrapped the velcro around the entire belt like Grady, but have since wrapped the velcro only around the 1.5" nylon webbing strap. That seems better but I have a LOT of extra velcro - I might need to trim it to streamline it a bit.

Thanks so much everyone for your pics and advice. If anyone else has any more experience with this, I'd appreciate their input as well!
