Question about older Krux frame

The older version has the load shelf sewn into the bag then attaches to the frame. Am I correct in thinking you need stay with a bag with a sewn in load shelf?

Been awhile since I had mine- but I had an older Approach with the attached load shelf. I also had a 5100 and a separate load shelf. Both set ups worked with the frame. I think you would just need to get a separate load shelf and you could use any bag you wanted. I am sure someone with the frame in hand will chime in and correct me if I am wrong. Great packs either way.

If you have an old frame and a new bag, you can put a Kifaru grabit on the bottom and suck it all up that way.
