So I got my pintler minus the frame now that we can order the bag only option and was bummed when it did not have these buckles on the back. I like keeping every day hunt items in my lid so i would like to use my lid from my marshall stacked on the pintler. I can use the two female buckles on top of the load lifter but it is not ideal. Anyone ever modify their pintler to handle the MR lid? I am trying to find those flush sitting buckles but if I don’t I will just use a standard femal fastex buckle and sew them in. Will post if it works well

Did u end up finding a way to add a lid to the bag? I’m in the same pickle right now trying to find the best way to add a lid.

I am surprised the Pintler does not come with these either. Seems like a no brainer to be able to run the day pack lid on all of their packs. I would be interested to see solutions to do this. Thanks

I successfully attached an MR Alpine lid that sits on top of the bag for more cu-in/day pack/enables placement for sleeping bag (etc.).

For my MR Pintler, I use two velcro strap wraps (comes with pack on strap ends) together as fasteners for female/male buckles. The buckles are then attached to the left/right sides on the mid cross member stay (Guide Light Frame). Surprisingly stable. Make sense?

Few posts about this, I'll try to take some photos to assist with ideas.

I mentioned it above, there are surface mount buckles you can put on the sleeve of the pintler, you make 4 small holes to put the legs off the buckle through that snap into a backing plate. That is what is on the sleeve in this photo:

I ended up mounting the flush fits in the same place they are mounted on my marshall. Worked perfect.

Very cool guys. I would love to see a picture of the lid added to the pintler if you have time. Thanks
