Just thought I would share a few picks for those other gear junkies who are wondering the same thing and how these work together. Also the Stick-it and the Metcalf. I will probably run the Mule and stick-it on most day hunts during rifle season. I will post a few packs of the Mule being run on the back of the metcalf as well if any one is interested.

You can put the Mule on the back of the Metcalf? Just by using buckles?

I was disappointed by the Mule, way too small for anything useful and no organization pockets. I was going to buy it since it was bag only but I was really turned off by it. I might end up grabbing the Pintler bag only to swap out for my Metcalf as needed.

Would love to see the Mule on the Metcalf and how you are attaching it! Been thinking about picking a bag-only Mule to supplement my Metcalf.

Thanks!

Interesting idea! I would recommend running quick attach accessory straps off of the side compression straps of the Metcalf, but attaching the bottom of the Mule may be a bit trickier. It wasn't designed to attach to the Metcalf (or other packs per se) but as a smaller, day hunting/load hauler setup attaching to the Guide Light frame system. I like it slipped in between the pack and frame empty, as a light weight day hunt option once you set up camp and drop most of the big/bulky stuff.

It will be interesting to see what folks come up with!

This worked amazing

I found the combo very simple and no additional hardware was needed. Took the male buckles off the mule’s meat shelf and attached them to the bottom frame straps that run through the ladder locks naturally on the Metcalf. I ran them through once on the ladder locks and attached the male ends which hooked right into he bottom of the Mule. The top straps hooked right in to the female buckles and I tucked the other straps between the bags. This was super simple and I’m not worried about finding a Marshall bag too much.
