Canada Bear hunt

I'm planning a bear hunt in Canada.
Is it worth bringing a hand gun into Canada ?

I see there is paperwork available, but not sure a hand gun is needed. Would certainly make me feel better !!

I have no experince with this but I would think that is a huge hassel and not worth it. I am a retired LEO and from the Canadians I have talked to you might still end up under a jail rather than in it.

I live in BC. I'm not sure you could get permission to carry a handgun while hunting as a foreigner...it's very difficult as a canadian to obtain permits. I would be extremely surprised if you could.

what about prepper spray.

Yes you can carry bear spray. I'd buy it in Canada and not chance bringing it across the boarder.
