I'm just wondering what my chances are of seeing a bear when I'm in the North Park units when I'm there for 1st rifle elk. Is there a lot of them, or are they pretty few and far between? I'm wondering if it is worth trying to get a bear tag. If I have a relatively good chance of seeing a legal bear, I'm tempted to buy one.

It should almost be treated the same as having a wolf tag in Idaho.

And if it cost $50 it would be.

yeah unfortunately for non-res it's another $351. I get a bear tag for PA every year and it's only about $60. If colorado was comparable i would have just got it.

Bear tags are commonly called 'Bear Repellent Tags' - meaning you see bear when you dont have a tag, and dont see any when you do
