Both the books mentioned above Plus Scott Haugens book TROPHY BLACKTIALS (the science of the hunt)
This book goes in to all aspects of each TYPE of blacktail breed, their habits, and everything. A very good read!

Get the two above and Scott Haugens book I mentioned and you will be armed with the best resources on blacktials!

Boyd Iverson's book is good and so is Scott Haugen's. If you ever get a chance to see Scott do a seminar at a sportsmans show, it's worth the time. He is a really good guy.

somewhere on the CDFW website there is about a 100+ page PDF download called something like "guide to hunting deer" or "guide to hunting deer in california." it has some pretty good info, and it's all blacktail specific.

Boyd Iverson's book is worth it. Lots of great info and goes into the behavioral traits of blacktails. Haugen's book is a good read as well.
