Insulated Pants: Kenai vs Super Down

Sounds like a set of down pants are more what your looking for. Kenai are from more active insulation vs glassing pants. I have a feeling Kuiu is going to release a new down pant to go along with there new down jacket. Might be something to keep an eye on.

I guess I don't see a huge need for active insulation more than my merino. I also had thoughts Kuiu might be coming with another type of insulated pants.

I picked up a pair of Super Down Pants in the classifieds here. Size L. I think they will do nicely. They fit over my other layers. They also fit under my other layers, although not perfect, but since the material is more slippery, better than the Kenai. However, they are quite noisy. Noisier than any other non Kuiu brand down I own. But, I think they'll meet my intended use well.
