Anyone see the new conifer color in person yet? It looks to be a muted OD green or some sort of pine/DE mix. If you have seen it, where in the spectrum would you put it between the DE and old pine colors? Just curious. Thanks.

Thanks dude. Those are WAY darker than I thought. Pretty much looks exactly like the Pine to me.

Yes, it is darker. I just received my obsidian pants in that color and was disappointed. I'm returning them for another color.

The conifer Llano is darker than it looks like on the website, but it's duller and a little more "earthy" than pine. I've got an Uncompahgre on the way, so I'll see if it's much different than the other FL synthetics I have in Pine. I'd call it a dark OD. Doesn't really fit on a spectrum with DE.

Here are some photos. First is DE, Conifer, and Pine. Second is Pine, a 30 cal ammo can, and Conifer. I'd say that OD green is a fair description.

Here's a shot of my Uncompahgre in Conifer next to my Guide pants in Pine. The picture isn't great, but it's the best photo I could get with my cell phone down in the basement.

I think the unpronounceable and wool pics show really close to the same color. The obsidian pants looked way off though.

That's why I wanted to get pics of similar fabrics side by side. It's a little easier to do a comparison of the two rather than hope that my crappy camera perfectly captures the exact hue of the fabric. Overall I feel like my wool and uncompaghre are a little darker than the online shots, but I'm happy with the color and it's definitely not as bright as pine.

Here's the obsidian pants and sawtooth jacket. The pants are a little darker but I like the color on both. But I guess I am using them for hunting and not a beauty contest.🤣🤣

Ryan, how are you liking your Obsidians? Did they win the day with that one?

I've used these pants from back in the Gila(Gen 1) days. This is the best version so far. They are a little more athletic cut in the legs than the Kanab's but a large still fits me. I always have issue with pants binding up because I am short and fat. These pants have more stretch than the Kanab's but I could use just a little more. But I think most will find them perfect.

I crossed a river while bear hunting and was amazed at how fast this new blended pants dried.

Ryan, how are you liking your Sawtooth so far? How does it do as a mid/outer layer for mild to chilly days? Durability?

I wore the Sawtooth way more than I thought I would. I like it because I can wear one layer underneath and stay pretty dang warm if I’m glassing and moving. And I like that it’s not too bulky as a mid layer. But I really like the hood, it fits me perfect! FYI, don’t leave it where mice can get to it. They will chew the shit out of it. The durability seems to be great outside the mouse holes.
