I know the Kelvin Vest is warmer than the Jetstream vest but if I have a Kelvin Active - am I better suited to use the Jetstream Vest as a windstopper piece? Backpack hunt so weight is a premium & I will be bringing Stormfront Jacket.

Thanks!

since you already have the Kelvin Active i wouldn't go with another insulation piece. while the kelvin vest is warmer than the Jetstream vest it does not have windstopper. I would think the jetstream vest and the kelvin active would pair well together. Keep in mind that he Jestream vest does provide some warmth as it has a fleece backer so it's not a total sacrifice on warmth just a little weight difference.

I agree with the above. If you already have the kelvin active I wouldn't get another down insulation piece. I'm a vest person, and really like that jetstream vest for over the top of my fleece layer. Throw your kelvin over the top of that jetstream and you'll be in good shape.
