freezer burn

I opened my freezer to find one of my vacuum sealed (or at least it was supposed to be) bags of scraps for grind only to find that it wasnt sealed and has freezer burn. If I trim off the damaged parts is the remainder still good or is it all spoiled now? Anyone have experience with this? I'd hate to ruin a batch of burger if I'm throwing in some spoiled meat into it.

Thanks,
Chris

i gave up on freezer vac bags. i think it's the tiny ice crystals that pokes air holes in the bags. even the ones a pro butcher gives me are at risk of being all loose when i grab it from deep freeze.

now i just double wrap plastic wrap around meat, one layer of foil, and all of it into marked ziplocs. i dont have issues anymore.
