Kifaru 6 man with box stove issues

I bought a 6 man off of here.... then later bought a box stove... long story short the stove pipe was too short....

So I very safely rigged it

But I ordered a new pipe from kifaru and it still seems short. How much should my pipe stick up out of my tipi at the top?

How much does it stick out now?
Mine is around 18 inches, maybe 2 ft.
Too high and it will be subject to wind damage etc.
To short and the risk is getting holes in the shelter from sparks.
I think your on to something with the rocks though. If you got those all heated up they would radiate heat way after the wood burned out in stove.

Is it a 6man Kifaru Tipi? If so I would imagine if you ordered your pipe from Kifaru and told them its for one of their 6man Tipis they would send you the appropriate length pipe.

FWIW my Seek Outside stove pipe protrudes about 2ft out the top of my Seek Outside 16man tipi
