Will be adding a rear window to aid in venting but mostly to help air it out. Had a real issue trying to get my stove to draft(not sure why worked in Utah and Oregon) and smoked us out at the worst time. Condensation was notable with the cold and three of us in there but didn't drip really just ran down the sides

Do you have a pattern you might consider sharing? Looking at building one of these myself. Thanks

PM me if you want the plans. I still have the plans I sent out to a few other guys. They are the original plans without the upgrades and mods that realunlucky made to his tent. He had some good ideas so look throughout his guide to make those mods.
Thanks
Marcus

WHAT ONE MAN CAN DO, ANOTHER CAN DO ALSO. Not sure where I heard that but used it many times during my military years to make me do things I once thought beyond my capabilities. First off thank you mcr-85 for your generosity with starting your thread and sharing plans and ideas with me. Pictures to be added shortly

I'll have to throw it back on the scale to see what the wieght increase was. The functionality is greatly increased though. I can open from the top down both front and rear zippers for amazing air flow. Added the Moffitt tie out on the rear zipper garage. I can now use a treking pole outside of the tent or tie it off to something externally. Allowing the removal of the rear pole really adds to inner usable space. Full rear zipper makes access to that space so much easier.

Had this out again this weekend and winds over 40 snapped the rear pole which allowed the center pole to piviot and push out the side.

replaced with trekking pole

repositioned the center pole without further issue. Will need to fix the hole.

Still an awesome setup. Rear zipper is nice to vent smoke and heat. Just zip down from top to bottom front and rear and it's an instant light draft moving air flow

guess I'll upgrade the rear pole one size and utilize the rear tie out next time so I won't worry about failure again

Reenforced the center the center cap to keep the pole from pushing though again.

Would have been easier and cleaner looking if I had added it when I first assembled the shelter. I didn't want to undo everything so had to do a work around. No one will noticed it in the cone anyway

Added a loop to the zipper garage for added stability when using the inner clothes line for drying things. The front and rear loops with guy out really tighten things up

The placement of the hole is terrible right next to the zipper and vertical. I'm going to try and silicone a patch inside and outside with the shelter pitched tight. Hopefully tomorrow is warmer.
Also ordered a new Easton aluminum rear pole from Quest Outfitters

Used a smaller patch inside and out than when it dried covered the whole top with a patch piece. Will trim when it's dry
