I bought a damaged mystery ranch crew cab bag off of eBay last year. Lucky it was cheap because it had carried a car battery that leaked acid on it I think. The two side pockets had light green blotches on them and the back of the bag itself and the load shelf basically disintegrated when I pulled on them a bit. I just about cut all the hardware off and said oh well. But I decided to try and bring it back to life. I removed all the plastic hardware since I couldn't get it into my sewing machine.

I decided not to seam rip the whole thing and just rebuild the load shelf and the tube pockets from the outside.

I made a high mount and a low mount using the lower existing buckles on the bag for the shelf.

It seems to fit the Kifaru frame pretty well, it fit over the top of the frame and I could still connect the load lifter straps. It seems to be a compact thin package.

I did have to get some nexus male open end buckles to connect the bag to the frame on the left side.

I'm glad I didn't just pitch it out now. Kind of surprised me it fit this frame as well as it did without a lot of modification.

For some reason I didn't think MR would work on Kifaru. I've seen the Kuiu stuff on it and heard EXO fits too. Think any of the NICE frame packs would fit?

I'm not sure which bags it will work with. I had heard it was too much trouble to get it to fit a Kifaru frame. It fit pretty well but it's sure not the strong hypalon sleeve Kifaru uses. It will work for sheds or carrying out a coyote. Hopefully somebody else knows if all their bags are the same.

Wow I had no idea either that these bags worked so easily on Kifaru frames. And I had been looking at them wondering too..

did you have to cut/modify the bag to fit the load lifters? I'm looking at your photo and it looks like the bag just slides on and the load lifers fit in the original opening on the crew cab.
thanks.

Yea it's slips right over, just have to undo the load lifters. Here are hopefully a couple better pics.

Thanks for getting back so quickly. Another question, so would this only work when you have the two side pockets closed on the inside? Because if you opened the bag completely up were you could haul meat, what could you hook back to the frame? Hope that made since.

I think you could make it work, here are some more pics of the camp bag in between. The frame has more loops to add straps if you had to use more strapping.

I probably wouldn't plan on hauling a huge 80lb load in this setup since I have better options for that. It would probably be fine but I just planned on using it for antlers or a bloody nasty coyote hauler.

Here is how I hooked mine up with the wings opened. The black piece connecting the frame and bag is a 1" Duralfex Slotted Loop from downrangegear. I also used two slotted male clips also from downrangegear. I figure I can use that same loop to connect my gen one grab it to the frame when needed.

Does that have much strength to it? I bought a couple plastic ones like that from Hudson to try out and it doesn't take much force to make them pop free, I would consider the ones I got very light duty. Finding some sturdy ones (that aren't $2.5 like k-clips) would be nice.

I'm new to these clips, but they are plastic and do bend. Nothing like the k clip. I'll have to keep testing the clips.
