Diy cargo panel/kid carrier. Been trying to come up with a decent way to carry my kids with my kifaru frame and this is what I came up with. It's a zippered cargo panel that allows for pillows or whatever to be stuffed inside to make it more comfortable. The PALS still allows attached storage for longer excursions. It also has a surprising amount of storage capacity for hunting purposes. Kifaru should definitely update this with an interior Center zip like this, it makes it way more useful and adds a surprising amount of storage.

Here's a couple more pics with a pillow in it to represent volume. There was space left over.

Cool idea. You might want to make sure the width of the CP at the seating area doesn't end up restricting circulation for the kiddos after a while riding back there. I've done a lot of hours with a Kelty kid hauler and even with the narrower seat area it can be an issue.

Ya I was using the cargo panel dimensions and going to modify from there, but so far throwing a throwing a small pillow inside seems to do the trick.

For the past 4 years I've used a kelty kid hauler that I removed the harness and belt from and jus strap to my Kifaru frame using a grabit and 2 lash straps. Super secure and there is a solid back for the kids. I got mine on sale from REI for around $50.

I messed around with that but was never really happy with it
