I finally got my sewing machine up and running after reading some threads I found the tension was too loose.

I picked up a used Kifaru Duplex frame in the classifieds and decided to see if I could make my Kuiu Ultra 3000 bag work.

Modifications were pretty simple. I sewed on some tension locks, two on each side, to attach to the duplex webbing straps on the belt.

I added two loop locks on each side. I ran a strap with a metal triglide and buckle. One to the lower frame mounted buckle the other to a strap buckle up higher.

Right now I just have it strapped over the top of the frame with the Kuiu straps. I may get adventurous and try to make a pocket to slide over the frame.

I also added a couple of loop locks inside. This allows me to attach different size chamber pockets.

On the bottom I just have some straps. I will likely add the metal triglides to attach to the frame loop locks.

Here's a picture of the bottom.

I forgot to note the frame is a 26" model. The bag matches up nicely.

Nice work. I'm jealous of all you guys and your craftiness with the sewing machines. I keep saying I'll try some things myself but never dedicated the time.

I guess my 8th grade sewing class 25+ years ago is finally paying off.
