I decided to make some tall side pockets to fit the pals webbing on the sides of the bag. Held them in place with 6" condor mod straps, they seem to fit nice and tight without any flapping around. I can run the two side straps over or under the pockets depending how much I want to compress them down. They ended up 18" tall by 6.5"w by 5" deep.

It still compresses down nice with them on too.

Still have room below each side on the next pals rows for a sm, med or large pouch. Ended up making another large pouch for my nomad but I think it can attach to the back of this pack also to carry extras.

These pics aren't the greatest looks like I might need to load everything up to actually see how wide it going to be.

You did awesome. If you take more pics of it loaded, could you please take some/one showing the attachment system you are using. Thanks and God Bless

Thanks, haven't had time to load it up yet but I used these condor mod straps weaved through the pals webbing. Holds them in place real tight. You can unbutton these pretty quick and remove, but it does take a bit more time to weave them through to install them.

Finally got it loaded up, doesn't end up any wider than timberline 1 or 2, or emr 2. They should work for spotting scope and clothes.

Looks like I just made it easier to haul more than I need again! There is even still room for pockets on the last strip of pals below these..
