Noisy shoulder straps...

I have an old pack that I'll be using for an upcoming hunt, and I've just noticed that the straps rubbing against the material on the shoulder straps are extremely noisy when I walk. The load lifter straps in particular. Short of ripping the material off of the shoulder straps, is there any type of tape that would adhere to nylon material? For instance, what is the somewhat tacky tape often found at the bottom of the lumbar pad? This pack fits me, it's hauled a lot for me, and well....I already have it. Any advice appreciated. tia

Couple options would be:
Tape around strap instead of along its length. Gorilla tape should work.
Put a thin layer or better strips of silicon on the straps.
Hope that helps
