I’ve been messing with Cerakote for the last year or so and decided to try my first pattern. Did a simple OD tiger stripe over a black Hydroflask. The vinyl stencils leave nice crisp lines and hold up to blasting really well. Pretty happy with the outcome.

Nice job, love my hydroflask. That yellow lid IS pretty cool.
Been thinking about dabbling in cerakoting. What do you figure youre into it for supplies? How much of a pain is clean-up?
Thanks

Hey, sorry for the late reply. Most of my stuff is cheap harbor freight stuff. $200 compressor, $120 blast cabinet, $40 blast media. The Cerakote isn’t cheap at $60 a pint but it covers a lot. My oven is built out of a sheet metal gun safe and an over broiler element. Both were free to me, but would only be $150 bucks or so to build. Clean up is easy with paper towels and isopropyl alcohol. It’s been really nice having the ability to apply a good looking, durable coating to parts. Paid for itself after the first couple rifles.
