Anyone have experience with these elk calls. Specifically interested in the elk reeds with the metal band on top.

I talked with Wayne at the CBA banquet earlier this year and looked thru his new line of calls.

IMO anything Wayne puts out is good stuff. Most of my dead elk succumbed to a Carlton call

Yes I have. My first ever call. Plopped it into my mouth and 15 minutes later I had some cow mews working. They seem alright! I just like the fit of rmhc better.

I picked up one of the non-metal versions and even though it looks and measures exactly the same as some of my other diaphragms......the sounds just don't naturally flow from it for me. It should fit the exact same way as the others, but I have to force it to get the right sounds. I don't like reeds that I have to force.
