Question for some of you guys who have had early season success.
Any tips or ideas other than sitting wallows or routes elk take? I usually only hunt mid sept but will he after them very early this year and any advice would be handy

Cow call. Maybe try a Montana cow elk decoy too.
Look for cooler, north slope to hunt.

Agree with all these options, calling early season seems to bring us in silent raghorns. We sit in areas with sign and water, but when we can't take it anymore we will just walk the trees. Plan on doing a lot more Glassing this year and stalk em when they bed. A lot of times we will see them walk into the trees after sunrise and we will wait for a good wind and silently follow. Generally they are bedded just inside tree line but we often get busted by cows. Single bulls are a lot easier.
