Montana Father and son elk hunt 2017. My dad had taken me to this spot in Montana in 1982. This was my son Dylan's second trip down here, first was on a scouting trip during the summer. We had a super hunt, in elk ever day, Dylan had his first miss on a cow elk. He told me that was bowhunting, just looked me and layed on the ground.
The 5 point I ended up shooting was a lot of effort by Dylan and his cow calling. We only had a couple places to hide in the sage and Dylan was on his back calling. The bull came into 50 yards, recovered in 100 yards.
