At Sportsmans Warehouse right now. In stock is RL26, H1000, H4831, H4831SC. I'll wait on a few more suggestions before I pick any up.

If I had to pick from them three... It would be H4831sc and RL26... I have no experience with rl26... I have had two 270 wsm... One savage weather warrior and a tikka t3 lite... Both shot H4831sc well...

Here's an Amazon link for the hornady gauge
Hornady Lock N Load Overall Length Gauge (straight) Amazon.com : Hornady Lock N Load Overall Length Gauge (straight) : Gunsmithing Tools And Accessories : Sports & Outdoors

And yes it best to resize a fired case with a full length sizing die to where you bump the shoulder back .001-.005". I'll then drill and tap the case to fit the hornady tool.

OK Mike, I mailed you two fired brass, and the resizing die today. Just ordered the Hornady gauge to be here next week. Thanks

Also, I'll pick up some powder, leaning toward the RL 26 and H4831 (or SC) unless anyone makes a case for something else.

I have 150 Federal Magnum Primers (non match) on hand. Any reason to not stay with these?

I tightened my groups up a little bit shooting Remington 9 ½ primers. I would try the federals and if you don't get the results your looking for, try a different primer.

The gears rolling in.

Got the Xtreme Hardcore Funnel in .277

Justin just did a video review on these.

http://www.rokslide.com/forums/fire...eloading-funnel-review.html?highlight=Funnels

(Had one for my 7mm and they are "slick") and the Hornady Lock n Load OAL. I've been reloading for almost 30 years and I've never had a need for one of these, so I'm really curious to use one. Hells Canyon is going to show me how.

The Berger 140 Classic Hunters are on the way.

Haven't found a Tally or a Nightforce mount that will work yet. 1" tubes seem to becoming obsolete.

Looks good Robby. Where did U find the Classic Hunters? If U don't me asking.

Hi. I got them directly from Berger. We've had a relationship with them. Do they not sell directly to the public?

RL26 is awesome. I'm getting 2950 fps(could go more) with 160 Accubonds through a 22" barrel in my 7 SAUM.

Got Robbys COAL gauge made today. First step is to resize the case for a .001-.005" "shoulder bump". This is measured using the hornady comparator gauges. I used the "E420" gauge as it contacted the 270wsm case mid shoulder.

I used Robbys die to full length size the case for a .003" shoulder bump. This ensures easy chambering in field conditions, but is minimal enough to not effect brass life.

Tap case head with appropriate tap

Last step is to turn the inside of the case neck so a bullet slides into the case neck easily. DO NOT run this case through a sizing die again. It will resize the neck back down and this step would have to be repeated (why I'm making two of these for a Robby) lol

Mike!!!! That's awesome!! Would you be willing to make me a coal gauge with a fired 7LRM case? I already bump size my brass back .0003 thou and could send you a case or two. I'd be willing to send some cash for your efforts!

RL17 was developed for the WSM cartridges. I have had good accuracy and velocity with H-4831 in the 300.

Lots of Leupold VX-3s with B&C reticles floating around out there. Great bright and rugged scope for a great value. Nice and light as well. I've got a bunch of 3.5-10s. I do have a VX-6 coming to try the bigger tube and dial thing.

Steve thanks for posting. I've been shooting RL 19 in the gun for two years and that Shot accurately but velocity was a little on the low side for the cartridge at 3150. Do you think the RL 17 will be able to beat that?

RL17 should beat out RL19 in any WSM...but every rifle is unique IMO. Here, take a look at the can:

Have you tried 140s or 150s? They should be no disadvantage with WSM velocities. They may shoot better at top velocity. The first standard 270 I ever owned would not shoot 130s at all. It ended up shooting 140s incredibly and I've never shot anything but 140s ever since in any 270 and they have killed quite an assortment of big game from antelope to AK/YK moose with no complaints.
