Hydrodip Weight add.

I think I saw someone looking for what getting your stocked dipped adds to the weight. I just had a Remington Model Seven stock dipped in Vias. Weight before was 1lb 5.6oz after 1lb 7.0oz. total add 1.4oz. Matte clear coat over dip.

Hydrodip.com. Great work took about a month but well worth it. Did it all by UPS.

I've had lots of firearms hydrodipped... I believe your weight increase since numbers don't lie... but it seems hard to believe that the increase is even measurable. Its just paint and a film as thick as a hair.

Yes I was extremely surprised. I actually weighed it twice each time and the weights were exactly the same.

Sorry for the thread resurrection. Well it’s been a few seasons now. What’s the verdict on hydrodip.com’s durability? I’m in the market to get a stock dipped.

I would rate it very durable. I cant say that I carry it a lot but Its held up great!
