I just got back from hunting. We all brought .22 caliber guns as well. We went after jackrabbits one afternoon. I put one of my best stalks on a giant jack. I got to 25 yards and hit it with my Browning Buckmark Contour. If I had to name my funnest caliber, it would be a no-brainer. The .22.

I can’t believe I don’t own a modern .22 rifle. I seriously hope to fix that this Christmas with a Savage bolt action. My brother has a silencer on his and it is so much fun.

What’s your .22 rifle?

Bought a 10/22 when I was 14. That rifle had piled up countless critters over 30 years. About 4 years ago I bought a Kimber K22 and scoped it with a Leupold 3-9 EFR. Its a very fun and accurate rifle, extremely nice piece of walnut also.

I took it with us prairie dog hunting last summer and had a blast. Made a confirmed kill at 174 yards. Was using Winchester Power Points, my favorite 22 ammo.

Smith &a Wesson 15-22. One of my favorites for sure. Seriously fun gun, accurate too.

Very old 511 Scoremaster, need to get it out and shoot it.

Wife has a 10-22, it seems to do ok on possums and groundhogs in the yard.

I really want one of those s&W .22 revolvers for practice.

Bought my dad a single six hunter for his birthday this year and that thing is my favorite handgun...total blast. Love the 10/22 and my Henry lever 22 as well...

Browning T-Bolt with the bolt on the correct side!

Just picked up at Keystone 722 for the middle child. Pretty nice! It feeds better than any bolt action 22lr I've seen.

I have a trusty Ruger 10/22 that was passed down from my grandpa and a Marlin 2000L biathlon rifle that is a tack driver but heavy as hell so it just goes to the range.

I've got a Ruger 10/22 with threaded barrel, Henry lever action, and some other semi-auto I can't remember the name of.

But I've grown more fond of my Ruger American Rimfire .17's than the .22's. Super, super accurate.......fast.......and fun to shoot.

My go to is a cz 452 with a 2.5x Pentax lightseeker.

Also have a 10/22 sporting a purple wood stock that I won in a raffle last year.

Shooting jacks with a pistol is great fun and good practice. The only thing I enjoy more is shooting them with my 7mm RM and watching them explode.
