I'm a little behind the times on this so I'm reaching out for some opinions.
First off it's a Rem 700 with a factory 24" barrel (rechambered 90's 7mm Mag.)
My plan is 140 bullet using Fed primer and for starters trying IMR 7828 because I have a can and it was recommended by the gunsmith that worked it back in the 90's.
I'm also thinking to try RL 23?

I'd like to hear what others have to say.

Never loaded for that round specifically, but for that barrel length you would probably want something on the quicker burning end of the spectrum.

I’m loading 143 Hammer Hunters with RL 26 fed 215 in nosler brass at mag length and seeing 0.5 Moa or better consistently. Velocity is 3390 from a cooper model 52 with 26” bbl. I’m using 79.5 grains of powder. Had another possible load at 81 grains doing 3480 fps but it just wasn’t quite consistent enough.

I also have loaded Berger 180 Hunting VLD and 175 nosler partitions. tried 175 nosler ablr, 175 eldx but those two didn’t like the rifle and powder combos I was using.

Thanks for the help so far.
I have an email into Alliant Powder to see what they have to say about RL 23 in comparison.
