Savage trophy hunter weight w/o scope

Savage lists the short action Trophy Hunter XP at 7.25 lbs including scope and rings. The long action is 8 lbs.

First off, is a Savage long action really 3/4 of a pound heavier than the short action?

Second, does anyone know the weight of these rifles without the scope? Savage said to just take .5 lbs off the listed weight, but I have a hard time believing that their scope plus scope mounts weigh just eight ounces.

Wife's 116 with the accustock (weather warrior) naked is 7.54 lbs...

Both stocks are from savage LAs

Naked accustock (no trigger guard) = 37.1 oz
Naked Trophy Hunter stock (no trigger guard) = 27.5 oz

I will say I much prefer the accustock to the trophy hunter - trophy hunter has quite a bit of flex in the forend.

Edit to add - I have 3 savages in various configurations... I don't have the trophy hunter in the trophy hunter stock (trophy hunter and weather warrior are same actions, different stocks/mag options)

but you could take the 10ish oz difference between the two - Weather warrior is hinged floor plate, trophy hunter has detach mag. So a naked trophy hunter is right around the 7 lb mark give or take a couple oz.
