Looking for some advise on lightweight but solid rings/bases for the Tikka T3x ultralight. At first I thought about the mountain tactical rail but it seems like that is adding weight where I am not sure I need it added.

I've had issues with Talley's ULW's in the past so I'm only 50/50 on them. My last build has them, though my gunsmith pinned them to the receiver and I've had no issues with them.

If you want to consider picatinny system, then I would recommend Murphy Precision Ti or the alloy Seekins Precision. I've had great luck with both of those. Not as light as the Talley's, but rock solid and dependable.

Anyone try the Warne rings that mount directly to the top of the receiver with no need for a base? They might be a bit heavier then the Talley but no need for bases.

Have used these and they are solid but I prefer DNZ.
