Waterproofing Lowa Hunters?

I've been getting a new pair of Lowa Hunters broken in for this fall. Would like to get them waterproofed/waxed. I have a can of Obenauf's sitting around that I've always used on my Meindls. Is that OK to use, or have people had better luck with a different product?

When we got back last year, My boots were soaked. I got the spray bottle out and went at it while wet like Lowa recommends. It sucked it up just like they said it would.

I use grangers g-wax.

Nikwax user here and it seems to do a good job.
