Growing up in NE (NH ) to be exact I grew up on LL Bean pac boots. Seems like they get no mention here. Does anyone recognize that LL Bean invented pac boots? Just a thought. I have owned them for years always served me well in the great white northern woods.

I never think about LL Bean for much of anything. Might give them a look for my next cold weather boot.

I grew up living in Bean Boots, but that was in SC. Here in NM, my feet would internally combust in a rubber bottomed boot...If the terrain didn't shred them first.

Recently bought LLBean Cresta hikers and love them. Break in period was minimal and I put a lot of miles on them last week in WY. (Edit: factory insoles suck and were immediately replaced upon arrival)

Bought them to replace a blown out pair of Meindl hikers from Cabela's that performed well but did not hold up and Cabela's wouldn't stand behind them. I know I won't have that problem with LLBean.
