Lowa's finally bit the dust..

So my beloved Lowas boots finally separated at a seam (near the pinky toe). These boots are five years old, and have been road hard. Don't know how many miles theyve seen but it's a bunch. Mule deer, elk, antelope, chukar, Huns, phez, and sharpies. WY, ID, and NE.

Would Lowa repair them? Or should I just get a new pair?

New pair. I have a pair of gronells I tried to repair, glue, patch Etc...
finally just had own up to the fact it’s time.

A cobbler once told me if you hike a pair of boots to under $1 a mile, congrats you got your money’s worth. Sounds like you got your money’s worth.

Guiding sheep in a steep & rocky area (Western Ak Range) I would get about 9 hunt's before my Sheephunters would start to get seriously worn. I'd then use them up as a pre-winter boot around here. The best the Meindal's would do is 1/2 dozen hunts before they were worn out and soggy.
