was time for some new boots this year so i went ahead and ordered a bunch to try and sent back what i didnt like, I ended up keeping two sets of lowa's the irox gtx and the camino gtx both felt good around the house for a couple hrs.

decided to start putting some miles on the irox lastnight and got a little over a mile down walking back and forth over a 1/2 mile bridge
(closest we have to hills in fl ) and started to feel a hot spot/blister coming on on the heel of only the left boot.

tried to cinch it down some but still felt it rubbing and called it a night before it got bad.

should i try some insoles? any other suggestions?

i assume the wear is from the heel moving too much but maybe i am wrong.

thanks
Jared

Can’t tell you for sure as everyone’s feet are different, but a few things I try before getting rid of boots due to fit,
Lacing styles, there’s a heel lock technique
Insoles
Maybe socks
