Crispi Thor Ankle Lock Loops

I just received a new pair of Crispi Thor boots this week and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they have little Nylon loops at the ankle flex point to anchor and lock in my ankle.

Is this a new feature? I can only find one recent picture on Crispis Instagram that shows these loops. All of the other pictures I’ve found don’t have them.

I was worried about the ankle stability with these boots, however when using the ankle lock loops they feel great. Similar in the ankle to my Trango S evos but much more flexible in the sole.

Anybody else have these on their Thor’s?

Also, my size 11 (44.5 Euro) weigh 1 lb 7.6 ounces per boot

Mine from last year have that. It makes the boot unwearable for me. It kills the top of my ankle. I run mine without using it.
