WY Question

What's the legality of carrying a handgun while upland hunting in WY? Just in case I come across any rattlers, etc.

Perfectly legal. My question would be, why use a handgun with you'll be carrying just about the best snake killer out there (shotgun)?

Sometimes when I'm training I don't always have a shotgun on me if I'm training with a blank gun, etc. Otherwise the shotgun would get used.

Oh, so training/hunting. Per Wyoming state law a Wyoming citizen can open carry and conceal carry without a permit excluding of course schools, government buildings, etc. So i'd think you'll be good to go out on the prairie.
