Hardest tag in NV to draw- turkey!

I joke about it and it's semi true. I had 6 points to draw a Ryan's favorite animal here in Nevada, the turkey!
Anyways, have any of you nv guys hunted mason valley before? I drew first season.

Hahaha! It's so true! Too funny that they're so "prized" here. They nearly give out as many Mountain Goat tags as they do Turkey tags it seems. I haven't hunted Mason Valley, nor turkeys in general, but I've fished out at the Hinkson Slough a few times and have seen them out in the surrounding pastures. Not sure what the gist is of hunting that zone(parcel size, weapon restrictions, etc) but I'm betting you could post up several hundred yards from the farm land and pull them in to your setup with a bit of calling...
