I hunt em entire month of September and find success to be very wind dependent. Those big birds will move out quickly whenever winds are favorable.

Sorry if I'm late to reply but a friend of mine I hunted with many times has an outfitter service out of Lubbock called "red eye outfitters". Might look them up, they'll find birds.

If you want to come to Lubbock I would suggest Blackfoot - Goose hunting at its very best!

I've hunted with him in Lubbock and Canada.

In Lubbock it is just silly. 3 Birds per person per day. You will have flocks of several hundred decoying. I would combo it with geese or pigeon.

We shot decoying pigeons in a peanut field. Ran out of ammo. Ended up with 120ish birds.
