Anyone else who bought a Tyto knife have a fraudulent purchase on card?

I made a purchase from Tyto knives on 9/28, and on 10/1 I had a fraudulent purchase with the credit card for I used for $700+ 28 miles away from Tyto knives. Proximity of time and distance makes it seem related to me. Just wondering if anyone else had any issues.

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions, though it does seem suspicious. My wife's card was just used fraudulently over the last two weeks, which is about the third or fourth time it's happened since she's had that card. Some how, I've managed to dodge that issue, thankfully, we have a card company (chase) that is excellent in these types of situations. It could be tied to the recent equifax breach as well, you just never know.

About the only thing you can do when purchasing something online, is ensure that the address is https, rather than just http, the "s" is for secure, and the hope is that it truly denotes a secure connection.

Also don't ever do anything financially related on public wifi, they can skim your numbers.

I made the purchase from a secure connection. I guess I should state that I would doubt it was them and have had great customer service from Tyto. I just dont know if information was stolen from their location or anything related. It could just be a crazy coincidence. Any card issues Ive had in the past there have been fraudulent purchases in major metropolitan areas or foreign countries. And Tyto is fairly close to a major metropolitan area.

I bought a couple of Knives from them on the same day as you and have seen anything hinky on my card.
